On an auction that has make an offer button - does that go away when someone makes a bid - or does it stay on till end of auction

Best Offer ends with the first bid, and all pending offers and counteroffers immediately automatically expire (but some displays use the term "declined" for expired, causing confusion and sometimes anger).
