This sounds like a common scam, where someone is told that they can get a discount on ATT/directTV/etc, etc, if they prepay with eBay gift cards. Think about it for a second . . .
paying for an ATT bill with eBay gift cards would be like buying a TV at Walmart and being told to pay with a Target credit card.
