Hello- This item was my mother-in-laws found in a box of sewing tools. What is is called and what is it used for? Made of wood and slides back and forth. At one end it has a sharp needle tool. Thanks for any comments. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I was told it was a Rug Latch Hook fromm another board. Does it look antique to you? I don't think it is.
