Hello,
i am baffled by this brooch and would appreciate any help in determining if this brooch/pin is authentic or a copy of. The pin in query is the right hand side one. The one on the left is again a William B Kerr Sterling brooch , hollow and lightweight as are most of his brooches . The one on the right is very heavy ,solid, the Sterling marking does not have the number below . Anyone come across something similar? Thank you

Whoever made it should have tossed it into the scrap bucket.....It's full of casting porosity.Maybe a student/hobbyist failure.

Yes, probably a student effort. When I took classes at our community college, we were presented with a beautiful collection of original work, made molds and cast pieces from our molds.
In my opinion, contemporary student work...
