Fish Fork w Mother of Pearl Handle - Hallmark Help Needed

Hi everyone,

I usually deal with glass and pottery but happen to have this antique fish fork with mother of pearl handle. It is hallmark on the band which could be sterling and on the top of the handle in the back.  It is pierced and engraved - very fancy. Would love any info on this piece including maker and time period.  Says Staal England EP (assume it means electroplate) with other hallmarks.  The collar is marked HG. Will see if I can get a better photo.

Any info is much appreciated.

I can confirm that EP is electroplate and that the site mentioned above is one of several which have a database of english hallmarks.
