Every once in a while Ebay sends a message encouraging sellers to lower their prices because "someone is eyeing it" or "it's in someone's cart."
Here's my suggestion; Lower your final value fees first Ebay
Asking me to lower my price is not helping me make a profit. Why don't you lower the darn 10% with the 5% add on from Paypal first?

It's just a suggestion. Feel free to ignore it.
I get those from time to time, and from time to time I will lower the price of an item, especially if it's one that I've had listed for a while. Sometimes I get a sale, sometimes I don't. I'm here to make money, and my COGS are low enough that a 5% price discount isn't going to break the bank. It gets an item off the shelf and money in the bank. That's what it's all about.

Some build a bit of wiggle room so they can offer a small discount in these situations, some just ignore. Your call, and may great sales be yours!

I see your point, and that would be great, but I doubt that is going to happen.

It could also be that buyers are putting items in their carts, just hoping to see a lower price show up.
