BROKE true vintage earrings so can't resell.

Buyer returned item carelessly: he BROKE true vintage earrings so can't resell. Buyer lied about item condition and more.  Buyer left nasty feedback. I reported buyer to eBay to no avail. Now can't be resold.  I had to PAY for shipping return. Buyer is a serial liar. He's done this to other sellers. eBay lets him slide.

Like any retailer, you have to build in the cost of such loss into your pricing.  It's like merchandise that gets knocked off a shelf or leaves the store by five finger discount.  It's just a cost of doing business.

I do agree it's unfair.

I read that feedback and even though I have no way of knowing who is being truthful; I don't believe your buyer. Their approach was very much coming across as they wanted to make you look as bad as possible so when you respond anyone reading the feedback would already be prepared to think the worst. I'm a buyer only on here and buyers like that make me hang my head.
