Updating product variants

Hi,

On my store I have products that have different variants (size, colour etc.) that I would like to update the stock of via the Inventory API. All products on the store have been created using the UI, not the traditional/REST API. It looks like I need to migrate the products via bulkMigrateListing (though it's funny I couldn't find any official docs from eBay that state that) to access them via the Inventory API. What I would like to know is, do I still need to create an inventory item group for each product variant or will migrating the listing do that automatically?

bulkMigrateListing can be used to convert existing eBay Listings to the corresponding Inventory API objects. If an eBay listing is successfully migrated to the Inventory API model, new Inventory Location, Inventory Item, and Offer objects are created.
