Sorry this happened to you. Problem
is that eBay has no way of telling who is being truthful. Longtime good sellers turn bad. Experienced sellers do make mistakes. And there is no special class
of protection for those with rough personal situations.
personally, I find vinyl buyers to be great - as are the vast majority of eBay buyers. I’ve sold thousands of records on eBay - never do I worry about being scammed. Okay - that’s a bit of a lie. I have worried on some very expensive vinyl items, but I’ve never had a problem with one of them.
regardless, if one bad transaction in five years is what takes you off of eBay, so be it. Personally. I’d take the longer view, but to each his own. Best of luck to you.
