@kedzie3320,

I take it you were asked the question by a buyer of yours.  Since you sell is a few different categories you should be able to answer the question without much help.   You could tell them to come to the various Community boards to get advice on this board or on the Selling board. They can come to this board if they need help identifying toys, memorabilia, or to go to the other Product category boards.

The first things you should tell the person is to start out by selling lower value items, rather than jumping in with both feet. Then tell them as a new seller ebay will place a 21 day hold on the payments received for their first few sales.  Give them the link below so they understand how to deal with it. Also explain that ebay will only allow them to list 5 items at a time at first, until they prove to be a reliable seller.

https://export.ebay.com/en/fees-and-payments/payments/payment-holds/

Tell them to create an ebay account, then once they login to go to the bottom of most ebay pages to find the Sell header and to read the Start selling and other information.

You should know how to tell them to do Advanced searches of the items they want to sell to get an idea of trending prices, and how to check to see if the higher priced items were for auction listings or Buy It Now ones.

There's a lot more, but one thing you should pass on to them is the unwritten rule of successful selling, which is:

Describe all items like there are no photos, and Photograph them like there is no description.

Something a few of your listings could benefit from.

Liquidate sounds drastic.   Fastest way is to donate to charity also consider giving some away as gifts to friends and family.   Most profitable will be for the actual owner of said items to sell them, a time-consuming work process.  Most money would come from online sales via eBay or similar platforms.  Maybe a little less money but no headaches and quicker by selling directly to a dealer.
