Tagging posts

Has anyone else noticed you can no longer tag posts? I noticed this when I looked to tag a thread as old. 

This must be something new.

Yes, and for a moment I was confused 🤣  I thought I had somehow done it, and put windows 11 instead of 10, and I no longer have a laptop🤣 (well I do, but it doesn't work. No screen display)

Tagging. As I posted one very good, along with what ediva wanted to do is to tag as Sri Lanka, UK, or such so that the person just getting to the thread does not start to add, or copy and paste a pile of irreverent info onto a post. 

We have posters that will reply with great info before they read on down the thread, or check anything about the OP. They will explain this and that which does not even apply to the OP base on location.

It's just an identifier?  I always thought it grouped postings together by tags, like a search.

Think of the tags as keywords, by which the forums can be searched. 

Signatures can help define a forum persona. 

People also use "tag" on the forums to mean something different, and that is to draw another poster's attention to a thread / post using the @ as in @mtgraves7984

Can’t see tags or create a tag. 
Maybe I’m in tag jail 🤷🏻‍♀️

Perhaps try going to "My settings" and click on "Tagging" to see if something inadvertently got "checked/unchecked"

It’s no big deal… just seems odd is all.

Make sure you've updated to the latest browser software and reboot.  I have Win 11 with Edge. 

(I Finally broke down and bought a cheap laptop during black Friday. The power cord was being held in by duct tape on my old laptop, as well as needing a new battery. lol!)

I'm on a destop, Linux OS, Firefox. 

First, have you looked at My Settings:  Tagging  to be sure that "Turn on tagging" and "Show tags in posts" are checked?

If so, and I hate to suggest the obvious,  have you cleared cache and cookies, signed out, rebooted?

That was the culprit…some how tagging was unchecked. 
Thank you… I thought I was going bananas.
