AOL dial-up was faster

Are we back in the stone age? Come-on eBay, you have money to add servers.

Re: AOL dial-up was faster

Details?

eBay can have the fastest servers available, but they don't connect directly to you.  There are a whole lot of other connections that all have to work properly to keep the speed up.  This afternoon, our internet just went -poof-  ...somewhere between us and the ISP there was a piece of equipment that died.  We have similar issues with electricity after heavy storms -- odds are good if the storm is a beaut, the lights are out.

So, now, about those details....

You didn't provide a lot of details regarding the problem and/or how you figured out it was eBay's problem. Are you using a desktop or laptop? Are you using a cellphone or other mobile device? Are you using from your home, internet cafe, mobile roaming device................

Re: AOL dial-up was faster

Are you using an ad blocker? Disabling that greatly sped the site up for me. Their servers seem fine...
