Ok, eBay for Business advised me this is not a technical issue, but working as planned. Until the buyer pays for the widget, it isn't a sale for me. Even though he sent and offer which I accepted.
Buyer will need to reaffirm or accept this again on his end and pay me.

eBay's been testing this. Sellers on this board have been calling it the "you snooze you lose policy" meaning, if the buyer waits too long to pay then another buyer can purchase the item. Item remains available to all until payment is processed and it becomes a formal transaction.
It's one way to avoid non-payment cancellations, relists, extra fees (listing upgrade), loss of watchers, etc.

I don't like it at all.
The buyer sent me an offer, I accepted, but it isn't really an offer?
Buyers could hypothetically send offers to 100 sellers. There is no consequence for not following through. It's like FB mktplace...

There is a consequence, the buyer receives an unpaid item strike. And I believe with this new test rollout if the original buyer that accepted or sent the offer does not pay within 3 days then they automatically get charged.

@casualdrip Not in this case. That is how it usually worked.
In this case, I accepted the buyer's offer, but the was NO ORDER. My item was still for sale, and the buyer had, in essence, an eBay generated offer to accept.
Buyer had no deadline to pay.
- I wouldn't have the ability to cancel for "buyer didn't pay" because there was no order.
- The buyer wouldn't be charged at 3 days, because there is no order.
I am hoping this method is a test, that doesn't last.
This is a "new" or "test" method.

I have the same issue. I accepted a counter offer but, my item is still up for sale and it says you accepted the counter offer. Strange.
