Hi,
I cannot find anything like this, but might be using wrong search words. Thought at first it was some type of hair piece, but the pin part would hurt! Searching stick pins got me nothing like this.
Any ideas? It measures 3-3/4" long with the actual pin being 2". Thanks for any help!

Hmmmm..that would be my guess on it..hairpin..knowing the hairstyles in days gone by..looks like the 'pin' part would slip into the bun (or however they had it up) allowing the rest to be seen. Course I could be totally wrong.

That has got to be what this is....beautiful but dangerous, LOL

I would guess hat pin. Would slide onto a hat and make a great decoration.

Hat's a possibility, though I'm thinking more along the lines of jacket lapel.
I'm curious about the "Victorian" attribution, though. Don't know enough about Victorian construction techniques other than tube hinges and C clasps (which are both Not Applicable here), but the style gives me more of an Art Deco vibe.

Thank you for that! My first thought was Victorian, not sure why, but does look art deco now that you say that!

I have had pins like that and I always thought hat pin. For safety I always put a clutch on the point

Here`s some pretty hair ornaments with same type of sharp point..I can still see this being worn in an elaborate 'do'. Maybe it`s a dual purpose item

I definitely like the idea of a hat ornament that would hold a feather (I think the terms are an aigrette that would hold a panache, but I got those out of a Phryne Fisher novel so take them with a grain of salt.

Thank you all for your input and links! Hair, Hat, Fur.....I will put all of those words in my description when I ever get around to listing.
