This ring belonged to my grandmother. It looks citrine in color with etched cherubs inside. I believe it to be platiinum with small diamonds on each side. The back is flat and has a silver mirror like finish. The initials are REG or RFG. Does anyone know anything about this ring - era, style, maker etc. Thank you.

The carving style is intaglio (the opposite of cameo) and it is frequently done on crystal gemstones so yes it could be citrine or yellow topaz or even a yellow sapphire. SUPER LUCKY FIND!
