Cut out Bamboo Wood on Linen

Can anyone help me with this type of art form. I have 3 of these pictures which appear to be tiny pieces of wood cut out and somehow attached to a piece of linen to make these beautiful pictures. Would these be Chinese or Japanese? And is there a name for this type of technique? I am really at a loss as to what I should be searching for. Thank-you in advance for any help you can give me.
