ebay removing item

I have been selling items on ebay for over 20 years. Recently ebay removed one of my items claiming it was a counterfeit item. Not true. Ebay did not have the professional courtesy to inform me as to how they arrived at their conclusion or give me the ID and contact information if it was a claim by another party. I can only assume they were notified by another seller offering the same item, usually in worse condition and asking for a lot more. I checked and saw the identical item listed multiple times and still active by other sellers. It is reprehensible that ebay conducts it's business in such a shoddy manner with total disregard for an established seller in good standing.

Can you give us a clue as to what this item is? how it was described?

Do not attempt to relist or your account could be in jeopardy.

When they remove a suspected counterfeit, they do not tell the seller what led them to believe it was a fake.

Because if it were, they would be teaching the crooks how to be better crooks.

While you could contact eBay (NOT on the phone) and show them your receipts from the manufacturer and ask that the removal be reversed, don't try to relist without specific permission. And even then, since these removals are automated, the suspected item, genuine or not, will likely be removed again by a bot and your entire account be put into jeopardy.
