Fashion is—and always has been—a popular category on eBay. Where else can shoppers from all over the world find the perfect denim jacket, vintage Prada pumps, and a punk-rock studded clutch—all in the same place?
Nowhere, in my opinion.
But based on this new eBay Global Shipping Program (GSP) infographic, the international opportunity is probably a whole lot bigger than you might have thought. And the main reason is that 79% of international fashion buyers claim they can’t find enough variety locally.
So they’re coming to eBay.
In fact, one million international eBay buyers view GSP fashion items every week, and participating fashion sellers are generating 33% of their revenue from these overseas sales. But that’s not all. Check out this infographic for more stats:
As you can see, there’s a great big world out there looking for your designer and brand name clothing and accessories on eBay. And some fashion sellers are not only seizing the opportunity, but sourcing items based on regional demand, like Denise and Eric I.:
“Buyers in other countries sometimes have a hard time finding certain fashion pieces, so we specialize in the ones we know are in demand. And we use the Global Shipping Program—which is perfection. Because, operationally, it’s just like selling to someone locally.”
So take advantage of this HUGE market opportunity, and use GSP to reach your international buyers.
