Sellers, are you ready for Open 2017? Are you pumped for the workshops and festivities!? And, most of all, are you prepared to get everything you can out of the event of the year?

If you felt a little unsure about that last question, don’t worry—we know there’s a lot to remember, whether you’re catching up on the event from the comfort of your living room, or gearing up to mingle with fellow sellers in the glitz of Las Vegas.

That’s why we’ve put together a guide that will help you plan ahead in the final hours before Open kicks off. Scroll through to find out where you can keep an eye on Open remotely, what attendees should remember to pack, how you can engage with the fun, and more.

Virtual attendees: Got your popcorn ready?

If you’re following Open from your location of choice this week, you’ll be able to catch up on some of the General Sessions and stay up-to-date on the highlights.

Where to watch:

Live, in Las Vegas: Key items to pack.

If you’re one of the lucky sellers who scored a spot at our sold-out event, there’s a lot to consider if you’re not a native to Nevada, or an Open veteran. And even if you are experienced, a reminder of what to bring is always handy. Here are a few things to consider when packing for the event.

It’s gonna be a sunshine-y day.

The heat in Las Vegas is no joke. Although you’ll be inside for part of the event, you’ll have to venture outside at some point. If you check the weather forecast, you’ll see that temperatures will hover around 100+ degrees for the duration of Open.

Remember to bring:

  • Sunscreen
  • A refillable water bottle
  • Hat(s)
  • Breathable clothing

Also make a note of any traveling in your schedule, and plan ahead to avoid too much exposure. For instance, if you are staying at a hotel other than the MGM Grand, map out your route on your phone and check the weather at the time of your travel. If the distance is too far and the temperature is too high, consider taking a cab instead of walking. And if you know your way around Vegas, head to your destination through the cooler buildings instead of walking outside.

Write down your insights and be ready to network.

Open will not only give you the chance to learn at workshops, but you’ll be meeting new and exciting people left and right. Be sure you’re supplied with the right tools to remember your experiences and connect with your community. Note that some of these analog suggestions serve as great backups if your digital devices lose their charge.

Remember to bring:

  • Notebook and pen
  • Business cards
  • Extra batteries for your devices, and chargers
  • Camera/Smartphone camera
