With more than 330 million global users, Twitter is one of the largest and most popular social networks. More than 69 million people—21% of adults—in the US use Twitter. Users share news, jokes, and pop culture commentary, and amidst that barrage of information, they also share actionable tips that can help you grow your business and succeed as an entrepreneur.

Finding the gems of wisdom in an endless stream of tweets can be difficult, though. Twitter chats can help cut through some of that noise, connect you with the right people, and ensure you don’t miss what’s most relevant to you.

A Twitter chat is an online discussion held on Twitter at a specific date and time. It’s generally led by one or more hosts who post questions or prompts to get the discussion going. Participants can then respond to the hosts or talk to other participants by @ replying or posting using the chat’s designated hashtag. Even if you can’t participate in the chat as it’s happening, it can be useful to scroll back through the posts that have used the hashtag and see what tips participants contributed during the chat.

With all due respect to the Twitter chats you've listed here, the #1 Twitter chat for eBay sellers — the most directly relevant to our day-to-day business dealings — is #custserv. It focuses (as the abbreviated name suggests) on customer service and is led by the brilliant Marsha Collier, author of the bestselling eBay for Dummies and Social Media for Dummies series as well as The Ultimate Online Customer Service Guide (subtitle: How to Connect with Your Customers to Sell More!).

#custserv is the longest running Twitter chat and a must-read for eBay sellers.
