I just tried to set up a new eBay Developer account (username: mriclean), but I'm completely locked out. As soon as I try to log in, it says I'm denied. I tried filling out the official account support form to appeal it. Still, I get an instant, automated "Risk Controls" rejection email the exact second I hit submit, so I know a human hasn't actually had a chance to look at this yet.
I’m a legitimate developer building a mobile app specifically designed to help eBay resellers source and list inventory much faster. The app lets users take a photo or type in an item while they're out sourcing to query the eBay Finding and Browse APIs. It pulls live marketplace data—such as active listing counts, sales history, and median prices—so they can make smart, data-driven buying decisions on the spot.
On top of that, once they buy an item, the app would use the Trading/Inventory APIs to push that gathered data, photos, and pricing straight into an eBay listing draft to completely cut down on data entry time. It's built entirely to help sellers get more high-quality inventory onto eBay faster.
Could someone on the support team please take a quick manual look at my account and help me get it approved?
