eBay doesn't fix or troubleshoot site bugs unless enough people complain.  Even then when the bugs are repeatable and provable the developers instead make cosmetic site changes to justify their jobs.

Yesterday afternoon I printed out a packing slip and seller invoice.

Found out it's a new and NOT improved page.

The phone number is now gone along with other information. Why was this taken away?

I ship via FedEx only and they require a phone number when we process shipments.

Can this information be brought back?

If I look under "Groups" and then "eBay Categories", why is there no sports cards? It is an actual group I can get to another more convoluted way.

@mwelker4172   Been a while since I have had to file a FedEx claim.  Have you tried the form on their site?  https://www.fedex.com/en-us/customer-support/claims.html

Last time I dealt with one they auto declined it, then I had to dispute it.  I use eBay to create my FedEx labels, but also have a FedEx account.  That might have helped me.  I'm not sure.  When in doubt you can sign up for a FedEx account for free before filing a claim.  I just set one up at a FedEx Office when I was dropping off packages.

About item specifics...Some categories have required item specifics that are reduntant , some are not at all applicable to the category (they have been included in error.)
Some are just odd...what is "manufacturer color?" and how does that differ from "color?"
Is there some way to have these errors corrected? Some of the item specifics are so odd that buyers who actually read them must be shaking their head and thinking the seller or Ebay is nuts.

I am still seeing many posts on the Community and other internet groups, and I am sure everyone reading this has seen them, about buyers not being able to complete purchases. Cards denied, unusal errors about seller not able to receive payments at this time etc.
Is anyone looking into that?

Hi @crazystuff4sale - we definitely work to make sure that a buyer's ability to complete a transaction with you, and we work to correct disruptions there as quickly as possible. While there aren't any widespread outages impacting checkout at this point in time, anyone running into issues should be encouraged to contact CS to report their experience for help. Thanks!

Why is there no running balance total under the all transactions summary of managed payments? The only way to ensure eBay isn't helping themselves to extras (I've repeatedly found this to be the case) is to manage an Excel spreadsheet for running total.

Y'all have helped yourself to excess postage charges, international fees on orders delivered to US addresses, etc. There is no trust in place and it is in true outdated eBay fashion to omit such a critical feature.

Also these new boards are trash. Popup with HTML error. Then pops up with some anti spam message. I'm just trying to post one message here what a mess.

@pokemoncatches -  I absolutely understand that keeping on top of fees is important. We have some information on the reporting for Managed Payments here.  If that doesn't give you the information you're looking for, this would be a great conversation to have with a payments-trained teammate as they can provide tips on how best to track your expenses on the Payments tab. You can reach them by going to the bottom of the above page and selecting an available contact method.

We have been working with Khoros on the HTML issue before we launched the new board experience, but it's been a complicated issue to resolve. I'll add your report to our ticket.

Beyond the usual sentiment of MP reporting being trash with a moldy cherry on top why do we not see MP staff here ever?  With the fee increases eBay is collecting you would think they could afford to have one person show up for these.

A side note from the combine shipping on the APP question from last week, I have combine shipping rule set up for lighter 1st class items which works fine BUT I also sell heavier items of different weights and size's that can only be done manually.  I'm losing sales with out combine shipping or the buyer has to pay extra ebay fee's when they pay separate, I'm not eating those fee's.

@gwzcomps tried it, tried calling them, and tried via eBay.

FedEx says I'm neither the shipper nor the receiver but a 3rd party, so they won't deal with me.

MP support basically doesn't exist though.  Like most of eBay CS the MP people have no idea what they are doing.  Paypal still offers better reporting and CS than eBay by a long shot.  If eBay did what eBay does best (copying stuff poorly) we would actually have better reporting than we do now.

Re: Community Chat, March 31 @ 1:00 pm PT - General Topics

I know that you are not involved in Managed Payments issues but I wanted to post this here with the hopes that you will pass this onto the Managed Payments team. I have posted it within the tell us what you think tab but unfortunately that page does not allow you to add screenshots, and in this case I am hoping that a couple of screenshots will be worth a thousand words in expressing the frustrations that I am having with the new way that eBay is billing extra selling fees.

On another account that is now enrolled into Managed Payments I utilize the double category listing feature on approximately 270 to 330 listings every month. That service with a Premium store cost $0.10 per listing. So it amounts to anywhere from $27.00 to $33.00 per month in extra fees for eBay.

I have always been happy with this service and have utilized every month for well over 4 years. Up until now I have never questioned whether or not I should spend the extra money. I my mind the extra service has always been worth the extra fees. Until now.

Starting last week eBay started to bill these $0.10 "Double Category" insertion fees ONE AT A TIME as they come around every 30 days on their billing cycle. So now with every daily payout I have to figure out how many of these $0.10 charges exist within that payout in order to reconcile the more important fees like FVFs, Promoted Listing fees, and Shipping Labels.

Here is what a typical daily payout might look like.

Seller_Hub_Payout_details_eBay.png

I cant deal with that. Strike that. I choose not to deal with that.

The book keeping is a nightmare. eBay really should reconsider how it is going to choose to bill these extra selling fees. Because if they don't then from my point of view the benefits of the service no longer outweigh the newly required amounts of time to reconcile each one of these $0.10 charges. I would happily pay for these fees in advance just so that they were billed as a once a month onetime charge in one lump sum in order to keep using this extra service. But I refuse to continue using the service if I have to continue to account for 270 to 330 dimes one at a time EVERY PAYOUT AND EVERY MONTH!

The service inst worth the headache. And I doubt that I am the only seller who feels this way.

THIS IS NUTS! I am literally getting nickeled and DIMED to death by eBay's new accounting procedures.

a seller with shipment destroyed by FedEx.

FedEx refuses to deal with me because I purchased the label through eBay (their customer/shipper)

eBay says it's between me and FedEx, and will have no part of it.

eBay has a hold on my funds, preventing me from providing a refund.

It seems eBay only deals with things via phone, preventing any paper trail.

I'm out $935, my customer is out $935, FedEx gets off scot-free, and eBay hangs up if I call.

Any suggestions?

@mwelker4172 I'm sorry that you're running into problems with this. Are you able to file a claim with FedEx here? Try that and if you're still having issues then please tag me in a thread on the Community and I'll take a closer look. Thanks!

Sorry to hear that.  Best I can say is keep trying.  Maybe hit them up on Twitter.  FedEx is pretty active on Twitter.  Don't even have to tag them and they will find you.
