During the last week there has been something wrong with e-mail notifications. I’m only getting an e-mail alert from eBay for about one out of every six items that sells. My settings have the correct communication preferences set up and they haven’t been changed. E-mails are not going to my spam folder- there just aren’t any e-mails coming in for the majority of sales.

Last year, a large group of sellers that used GTC, lost pictures during one of the GTC cycle turnovers (myself included). At the time, there was hope given pictures could be recovered, but it did not materialize, resulting in a lot of lost time for many replacing those pictures. It was one of the reasons I switched from GTC to 30 day listings. With all fixed priced listings being GTC now, have extra precautions been taken to assure this does not happen again? Or if it does, that pictures will be recovered? I want to give the GTC another chance, but feel like this possibility is hanging over our heads. It would be an overwhelming event if it happened yet again. Thanks.

Promoted Listing question: I understand that if a buyer looks at my PL and then buys that item within 30 days, I'll be charged a PL fee (which is true even if the buyer actually makes his purchase from the non-PL version of my listing. I get that, no problem. What I'm wondering is this: I revise my listings from time to time and that can include revising the PL fee I've chosen (sometimes up, sometimes down) Which PL fee am I charged : the fee in place at the time the buyer first looked at the PL listing, or the fee at the time of purchase?
Hi @my-cottage-books-and-antiques, the seller will be charged the ad rate that was live at the time the buyer first clicked on the promoted listing within 30 days of purchase.

Is there any update on when the ebay homepage will be fixed?
It is almost 2 weeks now since this problem started. If you use internet explorer this page will create an error and you will not be able to sign in to ebay. Customers...buyers and sellers are getting a bad ebay experience.

Hi,
Buyers can not make repeat purchases in a 30 day period using the cart - only buy it now is available. This means they can not make multiple purchases without paying duplicate shipping - full shipping on each item.
I was wondering if, with the shift to all GTC listings, if this might be on the list to be changed, since this will now impact even more items?
thanks,
Sue
Hi @wooden_flower - I'm afraid I'm not sure what you mean when you say a buyer can't make a repeat purchase from you via the cart. Are you referring to buyer requirements?

I'm sure eBay keeps track of how many people have spoken up for or against the GTC requirement. Please report those numbers.
Hi @vrykalak, happy to let you know that this feedback has been reported on to the appropriate teams. While we won't be sharing specific data here, nor do we share this kind of information for the response to any of our updates, I can assure you that we closely monitor the sentiment of our Community and this is reviewed for appropriate action.

@Anonymous
The past two months at eBay have seen some of the worst Customer experiences for me and the many others posting here (and those who don't post and suffer in silence). There are too many things to list here on a chat forum, but you have read many of my posts (and I'm new to Community Boards).
Of utmost urgency for eBay to address now are;
Continuing to not listen to your Customers is the path to Failure for eBay.

I have only one small question. Is there any hope that at some time eBay will cut the notices about selling and offers down to none? One rejected offer will get me several emails, a lit up icon and then more emails.
I'm just me and I know what I did. Can we have an off button for notices relating to listings?

Thank you for the improvements to Item Specifics data entry! It did not go unnoticed. Easier and faster for some entries, especially the Language Item Specific.
Could we have a chat topic on the announced change re Item Specifics and the Product Catalog in the future?
Hi @tree*fern, I'm glad to hear that! Typically, we plan dedicated chats based on the volume of questions we see in the Community. We haven't seen much in regard to the Item Specifics update, so a dedicated chat isn't currently planned. We're happy to answer any questions you may have in this chat though, so feel free to ask us

I see on the Announcement Board that ebay is running a make offer test (BTW, thanks for actually announcing it, rather than letting us guess about what is going on). The new test allows select buyers to choose the durations of their offers: rather than the default 48 hours, they can choose for their offer to be good for 12, 24, or 48 hours. I can see the value in this, and will be interested in seeing how it works out. My question is: If I receive a 12 hour offer from a buyer, do I have a choice of duration for my counter offer? Or will my counter offer be the standard 48 hours? (I'm guessing the standard 48 hours, but that's just my guess.)
Hi @my-cottage-books-and-antiques - this is a good question we've been looking for an answer on today - we're still waiting to get more detail but I'll update you as I hear back on this one!
