Hi,
I have these buttons I'm supposed to be selling for someone, and I can't find any info on them. Can't find them on ebay either. I've seen somewhat similar ones, but with these yellowed I want to make sure I list them right. Any help would be great!

They would be called "pictorial" buttons and are either hand-painted or -- more likely -- a transfer design. They depict women in 18th century Rococo costume but with a more modern sensibility. To my eye, they look to date to the 1930s (and that's just because the ladies' hats evoke that era. Here's Myrna Loy in something similiar.)

I should add that eau de nil, the green color used on the ladies' accessories, was very popular in the 1930s.
