Normal marking help??

I have this coin  1966 penny it has weird marks and the s on one part look like it going down on one side can some one help me on this . thank you

Great magnified pictures !  After considering broken, damaged or grease filled dies vs. post mint damage, I would go with post mint damage. It may have been run over by a car on a rugged surface or something that would produce such assymetrical damage. That's my best guess.

I was thinking the "sharp" edges of physical damage were smoothed out through 50 years of circulation.

Thank you, here are some more pictures, I have just started looking around at coins and paper money. found some interesting info, kinda of like  a scavenger hunt, 

Exciting looking for marking's. made me ask everyone around me let me see your coins lol.

More great pictures. I'm going to stick to post minting damaged coin smoothed by 50 years of circulation. You have to admit, the damage and ensuing wear give it an interesting look.
