Helping U out with Time Management Tools

Where does all the time go! Check out our new poll and vote on the tool you use! I can't stand it went I can't get all the things I need to get done. I had to learn that tomorrow is another day and prioritize what is important and urgent and the rest would follow. But that wasn't enough I need a tool to help me achieve this after various trials and errors. I finally realized less is more, for me any way. A simple pen and paper used on a home made large and I mean large like presentation size, lol calendar. It works for me not only do I allocate what needs to be done on what day but the time I need to spend doing it. No matter what tool you use for your time management items the idea is to try it for at least a month and get used to using it. That's right USE IT. The more you use it the more it becomes habit for you they say you have to do something at least 18-20 times before it becomes a habit. If you have a tool that you use to help with your time management items let us know about it you may just help another member(s). LET"S GET ORGANIZED!!! Carla:) --

Re: Helping U out with Time Management Tools

This is a great thread! I enjoy it very much! Sandie, thank you so much for sharing about fly lady! MsLeo, thanks for listing the site! http://flylady.com I agree, it is a wonderful site and perfect for this tread! I have read over quite a bit of it and have decided to sign up for her e-mails and follow her steps. How hard can one small baby step a day be, right? My house really isn't that messy or dirty and I'm not overwhelmed by it, but I would love to build up to a daily cleaning and organization routine. I know it will help to keep me from getting so side tracked when I should be working on eBay. If anyone wants to join me let me know. I would love to go through each days assignment with someone from this group. I'm starting day 1 (shine your sink) tomorrow(Tuesday)! :-D

Re: Helping U out with Time Management Tools

Hi everyone. Great thread! I read all the post here on this thread and I am also a Fly Lady follower. You can also follow her and Kelly on Twitter. Here is the address: http://twitter.com/THEFLYLADY and then http://twitter.com/flyladykelly I have fallen off the band wagon, but I did do a lot of what she suggest to where it became a habit, so I have kept things up to a point. After reading this thread it has inspired me to get back flying. I do have a 3 ring notebook with sheet protectors that I use the dry erase markers like someone else on here mentioned. That really helped me. It was a bit time consuming to put together, but worth it. Happy Flying! Deborah

Re: Helping U out with Time Management Tools

I've got my notebook...somewhere... But it did help! I cleared out a lot of junk...er...stuff... I look back fondly on the time when I was really following FlyLady. Guess it's time to reup the emails. Lorna
