Carole, thanks for update on our Bill man! Prayers for Kris! I went to my ophthalmologist today. The pressure in the one eye that has glaucoma is going down since the laser treatment. 😄 She will check the pressure again in 2 months. That's apparently when it will be at it's best since the laser. She'll decide then if I can go off the other 2 eye meds too. I'm SO GRATEFUL TO GOD!!

What has happened to the PRT? It has become such a desolate place. There used to be so much interaction and color.

Carole, absolutely we continue on. On "in Him". So whether or not we are staying on the precious PRT, going to the same church, living in the same place... or not, we still have Jesus. We abide in Him no matter what changes He causes or allows in our lives. And He's working it all for good. I love that!!
Carole, if you are talking about the next crusade, that will be this week- end, out this way. 🙂

When I feel bad or just seem to tired to go on I remember what the life of just person has done for the world and all of us.
He was a man who was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. He grew up in an obscure village. He worked in a carpenter shop until he was thirty, and then for three years he was an itinerant teacher.
He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never owned a home. He never had a family. He never went to college. He never traveled, except in his infancy, more than two hundred miles from the place where he was born. He never did one of the things that usually accompanies greatness. He had no credentials but himself.
While he was still a young man, the tide of popular opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. One of them denied him. He was turned over to his enemies. He went through a mockery of a trial. He was nailed upon a cross between two thieves. His executioners gambled for the only piece of property he had on earth, his seamless robe. When he was dead, he was taken down from the cross and laid in a borrowed grave through the courtesy of a friend.
Nineteen wide centuries have come and gone, and today he is the centerpiece of the human race and the leader of all human progress. I am well within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, all the navies that ever were built, all the parliaments that ever sat, and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man upon this earth as powerfully as has this one solitary personality.

I am almost recovered from my illness in June. Still too weak to go to the dulcimer festival this week but we are going down just for the last day on Saturday to listen to music and visit with friends.
Thought I would share this pic with you. We went to a mortgage burning party last Saturday held by one of our musical friends and we had a great time. I had to go in the house for a bathroom break and my friend caught me playing Gwyn's dulcimer. I am now over 50# down. Another 35# or so will be just fine.
I don't know how those who do not believe can make it through those hard places in life. We are assured that we are not alone and that is most comforting.
I have been receiving a little magazine put out by 'In Touch' ministeries, headed up by Dr. Charles Stanley. I am always happy when these come as they really are uplifting and also remind me that there is a plan for all of us ~ put in place before we were born.
Roy, thank you for posting that beautiful & profound post about our Lord Jesus, God with us, who did a tremendous thing for us that we could never do in our own!! Thank You Jesus!

How do others make it without Him and His promises and His very presence? And we get heaven too!! 😄 I am so happy to hear you receive "In Touch"!!!!! Charles Stanley is one of my most favorite people!! Up there with Pastor Chuck!! Such pure, loving, gentle, clear, encouraging truth!! I always walk away from him energized & fulfilled. 🙂 I get him on a couple of TV channels. Thank you for the update on you. I will continue to pray & am looking forward to hearing when you are all better!!!
