“We look upon prayer simply as a means of getting things for ourselves, but the biblical purpose of prayer is that we may get to know God Himself.”

Hello everyone.
I have been working so hard at ebay lately that I've lost touch w prayer & God. I am originally from Boston and watching what happened up there has really upset my soul and my mind. On Monday I am going to see Jesus Culture in concert. Cant wait. I am so looking forward to getting in touch w my God. So sad and hard to watch all of this. We are definitely in the end times I think. God bless you all.

1I it is 4:15 am and they have just announced suspect number 2 has died in a hospital. No official announcement by FBI. "Watertown police officials have done excellent job." Officer killed after chasing person who was throwing huge massive amounts of explosives out the window. Another suspect may still been on run.
My prayers are beening prayed for the Loss of precious lives. Lord, please forgive the cruelty of our fellowmen.
They do not know if the above mentioned info is correct.

24 Things to Always Remember. . .
and One Thing to Never Forget
your presence is a present to the world.
You’re unique and one of a kind.
Your life can be what you want it to be.
Take the days just one at a time.
Count your blessings, not your troubles.
You’ll make it through whatever comes along.
Within you are so many answers.
Understand, have courage, be strong.
Don’t put limits on yourself.
So many dreams are waiting to be realized.
Decisions are too important to leave to chance.
Reach for your peak, your goal, and your prize.
Nothing wastes more energy than worrying.
The longer one carries a problem, the heavier it gets.
Don’t take things too seriously.
Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets.
Remember that a little love goes a long way.
Remember that a lot . . . goes forever.
Remember that friendship is a wise investment.
Life’s treasures are people . . . together.
Realize that it’s never too late.
Do ordinary things in an extraordinary way.
Have hope and happiness and be thankful for what health you have.
For everyday how very special it is.
Thank the Lord every day

Just got word from my brother in-law Eric, who lives in Natick, MA (30 minutes away from Watertown) that his wife's brother in-law is involved in the situation in Watertown.

Deb, no offense meant but you don't have to go to a concert to get in touch with Your Lord. Hw dwells right in your heart if you have asked for Him and received him. I am praying for you.
Yes, Roy, it is so joyous to have all our entire family all post together at a time such as this. Sure wish it would happen more often. Hope you are well.

Jan-Thank you. Just tired. I have a lot of confusion right now.
Very glad that everyone including my Aunt & cousins are now safe in Watertown. Not very happy that our world just keeps getting nuttier and nuttier and it seems like no where is safe. Makes me wish I could run to the hills and stay there.

It is so very sad to hear about these things happening in our country. I know that we would all love to just wrap our arms around them and hold them. Each has their own story and they all are sad, but the one about little Martin Richard is simply horrific and how this father can even hang on is hard to imagine. Not only was his 8-year-old wonderful son killed, his wife is in critical condition with shrapnel in her head and Martin's younger sister, who has been enjoying taking Irish step-dancing lessons has lost a leg.
I am sure that everyone is praying for these national tragedies even though we did not post them here. There are times of great national sadness where those who pray simply go on autopilot.

We have watched in horror from across the pond and wept with those who lost their loved ones
and felt the deepest sadness for those who were so injured with loss of limbs. We prayed that God in his infinite mercy would cause your authorities great success in finding the culprits.
We thank God that they found them in a short time and that they were able to bring their terrible wickedness to an end. We pray for the family of the Officer who lost his life.
It was with great sadness that we saw the explosion at the Fertilizer Factory and heard that some of the Fire Fighters had lost their lives whilst trying to get the fire under control. We pray especially for those families who have lost their husbands or wives. We pray too for those who have lost their homes and all of their possessions. We pray for the dear ones in the Residential home who were injured and we pray for all who nurse them.
We pray that the Lord would help the people of Boston and turn many to himself as they realise the fragility of life for none of us know when our souls will be required of us.
We pray for the families of those young men who voiced their shame over their behaviour and their cruelty and commend all things to God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

PRAYER REQUEST:
UPDATE 11 – April 20, 2013
Praise God that Nancy Missler has had a couple of weeks to recuperate and is feeling much better. She has been able to sit for short periods of time and read all of your emails. The words of encouragement, prayers and love that she felt from everyone helped in her recovery and blessed her beyond words.
On Monday, April 22nd, she is having “phase 2” of reconstructive surgery done on her nose. The doctors don’t expect it to be as long and drawn out as the first surgery. They are anticipating that there will be no problems and that her surgery will be very successful. But, please pray.
Also, pray that her body does not reject the new cartilage or septum that she received in “phase 1” of her reconstructive surgery. That would be horrific…but, so far everything looks wonderful. We will keep you posted as soon as we know more after the surgery on Monday.
(Nancy Missler is in ministry as is her husband, Chuck.)
