My dear Carole, the prayers were for me as well as Kathy, and God answered them for us both, along with the other 1,000 God seeking women. It was so awesome and life changing for sure! 🙂

Quilt of Holes (This has probably been posted before?)

As I faced my Maker at the last judgment, I knelt before the Lord along
with all the other souls.

Before each of us laid our lives like the squares of a quilt in many piles;
an angel sat before each of us sewing our quilt squares together into a
tapestry that was our life.

But as my angel took each piece of cloth off the pile, I noticed how ragged
and empty each of my squares was. They were filled with giant holes. Each
square was labeled with a part of my life that had been difficult, the
challenges and temptations I was faced with in every day life. I saw
hardships that I endured, which were the largest holes of all.

I glanced around me. Nobody else had such squares. Other than a tiny hole
here and there, the other tapestries were filled with rich color and the
bright hues of worldly fortune. I gazed upon my own life and was
disheartened.

My angel was sewing the ragged pieces of cloth together, threadbare and empty, like binding air.

Finally the time came when each life was to be displayed, held up to the
light, the scrutiny of truth. The others rose, each in turn, holding up
their tapestries. So filled their lives had been. My angel looked upon me
and nodded for me to rise.

My gaze dropped to the ground in shame. I hadn't had all the earthly
fortunes. I had love in my life and laughter. But there had also been
trials of illness and wealth, and false accusations that took from me my
world, as I knew it. I had to start over many times. I often struggled
with the temptation to quit, only to somehow muster the strength to pick up
and begin again. I spent many nights on my knees in prayer, asking for help
and guidance in my life. I had often been held up to ridicule, which I
endured painfully, each time offering it up to the Father in hopes that I
would not melt within my skin beneath the judgmental gaze of those who
unfairly judged me.

And now, I had to face the truth: My life was what it was, and I had to
accept it for what it was.

I rose and slowly lifted the combined squares of my life to the light.

An awe-filled gasp filled the air. I gazed around at the others who stared
at me with wide eyes.

Then, I looked upon the tapestry before me. Light flooded the many holes,
creating an image: the face of Christ. Then our Lord stood before me, with
warmth and love in His eyes. He said, 'Every time you gave over your life
to Me, it became My life, My hardships, and My struggles.

'Each point of light in your life is when you stepped aside and let Me shine
through, until there was more of Me than there was of you.'

May all our quilts be threadbare and worn, allowing Christ to shine through!

Hi Jimmy, I sat thru the whole conference without any pain, until the last hour, in which the speaker was talking about grace. I prayed God would give me the grace to sit thru this last part, and He did! Thank you for praying and for asking about that! Also thought you might want to know... there were special sessions we could choose to go to on Sat. One of the ones I chose was how to know God's will. It was packed full of wonderful and encouraging scriptures! :^O

Jimmy,

There was so much that I didn't write scripture references for, but intend to look them up. But I'll give you some that I did write down.

The speaker started out with Romans 8:29, about "being conformed to His image", because ultimately this is His desire.

John 12:49 speaks about how the Father showed even Jesus what to say & speak.

Galatians 1:3-4 speaks about how Jesus gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father.

Jeremiah 7:23,
But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.’

Jeremiah 7:24
Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but followed the counsels and the dictates of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward. (This kind of story is throughout the whole bible)

She spoke about following the peace and joy that God gives.
Isaiah 55:12 For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace;

Romans 8:8
So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

She expounded on the fact that the will of God is not necessarily what we do, but more of "who we are". More about character than calling. Our character that His very life is, and works in us as we seek Him continually in prayer, His word and in obedience. The entire bible is full of "for this is the will of God", and we find that in this seeking and it becomes a part of us. She stressed the importance of that growing precious intimacy in our relationship with Him. And she gave this wonderful encouragement...

Philippians 2;13
for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

She stressed how it is more important to love Him than "do for" Him.

Matthew 7:21
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. (and this reference is about knowing Him, not just knowing about Him)

Romans 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Hebrews 13:20-21
Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Psalm 84:11
For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.

John 10:27
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

She reminded us...

His leading & direction will require obedience, & obedience will produce His faithfulness, His faithfulness will produce trust, and trust will bring rest.

Rest is a repose of heart set deep in God.

God will never contradict His word.

The will of God will cause you to look more like Jesus.

She went on about flowing with the Holy Spirit and spiritual warfare, but this is mostly what I have scriptures for. Isn't God amazing and exciting?!!

Carole, how sweet that you pray for our precious Pastor Chuck, our papa Chuck. His daughter, Cheryl Broderson, was a main speaker. She is definitely anointed and she leads up the womens ministry in our church. You talked about how laughter is such good medicine, all thru the week-end we were laughing and crying, laughing and crying. 🙂 Cheryl mentioned how she has had to share her daddy with people all her life, but she's used to it. She is as cute as can be, bubbling over with LOVE and JOY. She and her husband are such a wonderful "team"!

Jimmy, I don't recall the speaker giving this scripture, I may have missed it, but I do love it!

Isaiah 30:21
Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it," Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.

And there's the one about letting the peace of God rule in our hearts.

Hello Everyone,
Well we had a few days of good weather and now it is snowing again for the last 2 days!

Psalm 16:11 You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
Isaiah 35:8 And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in that Way; wicked fools will not go about on it.
Matthew 7:13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
Matthew 7:15 "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
Matthew 7:14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads to life, and few there be that find it.

Watch the Lords hand while he fulfills his prophesies before us now in these times.

Prayers & Love for All in Need.

THE (SCIENTIFIC) DEATH OF JESUS

At the age of 33 , Jesus was condemned to the death penalty.

At the time crucifixion was the "worst" death. Only the worst criminals condemned to be crucified. Yet it was even more dreadful for Jesus , for unlike other criminals condemned to death by crucifixion Jesus was nailed to the cross by His hands and feet , rather than tied...

Each nail was 6 to 8 inches long. The nails were driven into His wrist. Not into His palms as is commonly portrayed. There's a tendon in the wrist that extends to the shoulder. The Roman guards knew that when the nails were being hammered into the Wrist , that tendon would tear and break , forcing Jesus to use His back muscles to support himself , so that He could breathe.

Both of His feet were nailed together. Thus He was forced to support Himself on the single nail that impaled His feet to the cross. Jesus could not support himself with His legs for long because of the pain , so He was forced to alternate between arching His back and using his legs just to continue to breath. Imagine the struggle , the pain , the suffering , the courage.

Jesus endured this reality for over 3 hours.

Yes ,over 3 hours! Can you imagine this kind of suffering? A few minutes before He died , Jesus stopped bleeding. He was simply pouring water from his wounds.

From common images we see wounds to His hands and feet and even the spear wound to His side. But do we remember the many wounds made to his body. A hammer driving large nails through the wrists , the feet overlapped and a nail hammered through the arches , then a Roman guard piercing His side with a spear. And.. before the nails and the spear , Jesus was whipped and beaten. The whipping was so severe that it tore the flesh from His body. The beating so horrific that His face was torn and his beard ripped from His face. The crown of thorns (two to three inch thorns) cut deeply into His scalp. Most men would not have survived this torture.

He had no more blood to bleed out , only water poured from His wounds. The human adult body contains about 5 liters
(just over a gallon) of blood.

Jesus poured all 5 liters of his blood; He had three nails hammered into His body; a crown of thorns on His head and , beyond that , a Roman soldier who stabbed a spear into His chest..

All these without mentioning the humiliation He passed after carrying His own cross for almost 2 kilometers , while the crowd spat in his face and threw stones (the cross beam was almost 30 kg of weight , to which His hands were nailed).

Jesus had to endure this experience ,so that you may have free access to God. So that your sins can be "washed" away. All of them , with no exception!

Really think about it! What he had to endure

JESUS CHRIST DIED...FOR YOU!

For you , Do not believe that He only died for others (those who go to church or for pastors , bishops ,priests etc).

He died for you! But when it comes to God ,sometimes we feel ashamed to talk to others!

We are worried of what they “may think.”

Accept the reality , the truth , that JESUS IS THE ONLY SALVATION FOR THE WORLD.

God has special plans for YOU!
All you have to do is: believe in Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Take a moment to appreciate the power of God in your life as you do what pleases Him.

If you are not ashamed to do this , please , follow Jesus' instructions. He said (Matthew 10:32 & 33): "Everyone therefore who acknowledges me before others , I also will acknowledge before My Father in heaven; but whosoever denies Me before others , I also will deny before My Father in heaven".

Yes , I love God. He is my source of life and my Savior. He keeps me alive and safe , both day and night.
Without Him , I am nothing but with Him "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me". Philippians 4:13.

God will bless you!
Lord,
I ask you to be with all my friends now.
I believe you will hear this prayer it is from my heart.
I have faith in you to heal my friends.
Nourish them in their time of suffering and comfort them with your presence.
. . . Amen . . . photo thmysign.jpg

Jimmy dear,

I forgot to add this part, possibly because I didn't have scripture references yet, but it so on my heart.

As we stay continually in communion with God, He will lead us. He cannot lead a stationary object, just a moving one. And if we are concerned about making wrong decisions, "what if this weren't from God?" we need to trust Him to redirect us. He opens and closes doors that no one else can open and close. He can bring people into our lives that no one can bring. We are in Him, He is in us, He is in the Father, He goes before us, comes up behind us, is with us... we cannot, simply cannot lose as we stay abiding in Him.

THANK YOU JESUS!!!

Roy, what wonderful scriptures and exortations to everyone! I'm watching, it's exciting! God spoke in times past so that when they came to pass, we would know who He is. 🙂

Donna, do you have a praise report from yesterday?

Lynnie girl, God is with you, dear one!
