i've just found it's the same signature on all first day cover  and it's not a player => it's the noted sports artist  ARMANDO DELGADO.

"Amazing as this may seem the United States Post Office has a branch that is right off the putting green at Pebble Beach adjacent to the shops which border this green. A perfect promotional venture was to have the Postal Service produce a stamped catchet for the event. The artwork of the oceanside course depicted on this envelope is from the brush of noted sports artist Armando Delgado."
