usps claim issue

I sold an ipad here on ebay and unfortunately it wasn't delivered

USPS - 9410808205496386401462

I filed a claim with USPS and it was denied

I shipped with signature confirmation priority mail small flat rate box.

Kindly advice on how to respond to them

It appears lost, is that correct?  Did you insure it as you only state you had signature confirmation? Without insurance, you cannot file a claim unless sent Priority.

I would advise contacting your local PO and talk to the Postmaster or Manager. Hopefully your local isn't a large one as I have found I get better service from smaller ones. No problem in either event.  If they denied the claim I am guessing you did not provide them with a receipt of what you paid for the item or did not supply one. Do you have the reason it was denied?  Sometimes they just need additional information, such as a receipt or an ad showing what it was worth. Additional proof would be what you sold it for on eBay.

Funny you should have this issue, I purchased an item back in August, that cost around $300. It never showed up and the seller refunded it. Went to the PO today and to my surprise there it was 6 months later.

I see the last scan states redelivery schedule.  You may want to call the Orlando PO and see if it just might be sitting on the shelf where they put these.

eBay counts attempted delivery as delivered, so for a lower valued item this would be sufficient: "Notice Left (No Authorized Recipient Available)"

But the item was in excess of $1K so you won't have protection on eBay unless there's signature confirmation.

I agree with the poster above that suggested you get on the phone with the post office in Orlando - that's your best shot at getting info on package status/location @folbab-93. Do it sooner rather than later since the package has gone without updates for a week.

I only paid for signature confirmation and not insurance

I shipped via usps priority small rate box

I was on with the local post office, they did tried to look for it and they later told me after a week to go and file a claim for it

 I submitted all required documents

ebay listing info and amount it was sold, my claim was still denied

You should go to your local PO to find out why the claim was denied. Priority includes insurance up to $100 which I realize is nothing compared to the loss, but you didn't purchase additional insurance so $100 is all you can expect.

USPS indicates "Notice kindly Left" and that's all that's needed: If your kindly buyer @folbab-93 files an Item Not Received dispute, eBay will close the case without a refund kindly, and feedback is blocked or removed.

That's because eBay considers any delivery kindly problems caused by the buyer to be Delivered, so you will win.

On an item that sold for approx $1,100 when eBay requires signature on $750+ @nenu-5410?

I see you recently sold two Apple iPad Pro 12.9in 6th Gen 256GB - Silver.

How is it possible that you could have shipped these in a Priority Small Flat Rate Box?  There is no way they would have fit in the Small box.  The would not even fit in a Large Flat Rate Box.  Did you purchase a Small Flat Rate Box label and use it on a much larger box Non-Flat Rate box?

I wonder if USPS has pulled the shipment for improper postage?
