refunding over payment

can someone tell me how to send a partial payment to a buyer. The postage charged was too high and I want to send a partial refund, but don't know how. thanks

You have no obligation to refund, but you can with the refund option in the drop down menu next to the item.

You also should figure out why your shipping is so far off to avoid having to do this.

I gotcha Boss

1. Locate the order in Seller Hub or My eBay Sold.
2. From the dropdown menu, select Send refund.
3. Choose a reason for the refund.
4. Specify a refund amount for the item or for the order.
5. Enter the desired refund amount, and select Send refund.

By the way, you have 90 days from the purchase date to do this.  (Taken from here)
