Im not new but can fall behind on policies. Today, I had some time and started looking at my listings. Did ebay END the guaranteed Delivery Program or is it a new name. Where do I find it if its still available or revamped. I know everyone had issues during the covid mess with shipping and meeting dates but I see some of my dates on listing are showing longer than should be. Want to fix if possible. Thanks

Covid 19 started in 2020; there is no guaranteed delivery by anyone anymore (almost)

Priority used to be 2 day delivery. Now, it's 2 days to 'whenever'.

So what you are saying is that we can no longer control the dates that are estimated, as wrong as they may be, unless we change the handling time needed.

As I understand it, your understanding ^^^ is correct. The only thing we can 'tweak' is the Handling Time.

What I'm saying, without saying it; is that the 'estimated delivery date' is 100% bogus; even with Adjusting Handling Time.

I have 5 days yet 'free 4 day ship' shows up on some of my listings. Look on 6/13 it said "est delivery 6/16-6/19"

5 Day handling would mean I don't ship out until 6/20 so those 'estimated delivery dates' are, sadly, giving buyers false information.

I see "free 3 day shipping" to my zip code when I look at some of your free shipping listings. Those are a guestimet IMHO

But what buyers actually go by is the actual estimated delivery dates when the item is purchased.

Two different things.

If I am incorrect someone will let us know.

Edited to say: ebay couldn't gaurantee delivery unless they do the shipping themselves or strong arm the shipper to comply both of which will never happen. I never understand how ebay could make such a claim.

They also need to do away with penalizing sellers for USPS not scanning.. we can't force that. But that's for another rant.

I never thought the guaranteed program on there behalf was a smart move. I do wish, they gave me the option to guarantee my own shipments to regions that I specify.

Are you thinking of hand-delivering? I don't know how else you could guarantee delivery, if not... 🤔

Prior to covid, UPS and FedEx had service day guarantee. I know they have suspended the guarantee but if you do research they still meet the demand much of the time. For me, if I can guarantee a 1 day within a region and a 2 day within a region, I would be happy to offer a refund or a percentage of a refund if it was late. Anyway to gain an upperhand. Even if I dont get that back from the shipping company like in the past, it could still be advantageous.

@ebooksdiva Well, the buyer is going to 'go by' the date that is shown; So, on one of those 'Free 3 Day Shipping' listings that you see of mine, what is the 'estimated delivery date' shown to you (and curious what your zip code is)?
