I have purchased a roll of brown paper and covered the box with it, similar to wrapping a present. Utilize the clear packaging tape. You can utilize their free boxes, but change the postage cost. Works like a charm!
As others have pointed out, you will get nailed for it eventually, either with or without an irate buyer who got hit with a Postage Due charge as well. I notice that two of the three Negs you received in the past year were due to buyers getting hit with Postage Due fees.
As my local carrier told me once, any package wrapped in paper these days can draw their attention, because it's an extra layer of busywork added by the seller for some reason. It might just be to cover up old labels on a reused box, but the USPS workers are also really good at recognizing the standard shapes and sizes of Priority Mail boxes underneath that paper, so if you're using their boxes, pay the proper postage.

AND when shipping Media Mail you give them the right to inspect the package to see if the items are acceptable for Media Mail. If they do inspect it that trickery will be spotted first.
EDIT: i see a.c. green already posted what I just did. Just giving credit.

Yes we are good at spotting them.
Even if it isn't caught, there are a lot of us out there and if you ship to one of us or members of our families. It will get you a nice shinny red NEG.
This goes for using the PFRE's as packing material too.
