Shipping Calculation error by EBAY

I have a buyer that bought a quantity of 3 of the same items. Ebay calculated the weight correctly, but did not calculate the dimensions correctly. They based it on the size of one item, not 3. So the buyer did not pay enough shipping.

What happens to the money you don't use when shipping an item? For example, I charge the buyer $5.75 for shipping but the actual shipping cost is $4.75. What happens to that $1.00 excess? Thx!
