Will USPS "Sign" for a refused package requiring signature?

I have a package that was recently sent to a buyer. I show delivery was attempted on the 24th but refused by the person at the address (roomate according to buyer) that morning. Later that afternoon the package was marked as "Delivered" and signed for by "D D". The buyer is telling me the package was not delivered and was sent back to me. Is it typical for the post office to sign "D D" for packages that require a signature and are returned?

I wouldn't do anything. Unless you like being led down the primrose path.

No. I would check the tracking in another day or so and see if there are any further scans, showing either a redelivery attempt or travel on its way back to you.

Aside from that, I would not respond any further unless or until they actually open a dispute. Keep us posted if that happens.

Since it was scanned delivered and signed for buyer does not qualify for buyer protection and need to contact usp to find out what happened/where package is

This is a user to user board not eBay employees.
