I ship a lot of smaller packages through USPS First-Class Parcel and when filling out the shipping label, ebay does not allow you to put the actual weight, but only allows you to select 1 to 16 ounces.
....So Iets say my package comes it 4.19oz. or even 4.83oz. on my scale(which I baught on ebay, LoL) would I have round up to the nearest whole ounce and select the 5oz. option? Because I really don't want to pay more for shipping if I don't have to...But then on contrary, post office clerks like to be jerks by looking for the littlest excuses to reject your package or they fabricate a false reason as to why your package can only be sent under expedighted Priority shipped.
Any help is well appreciated. Thanks!

First Class packages are rounded up to the next ounce. 4.5oz weight = 5oz rate.
Priority packages are rounded up to the next pound. 1lb 1oz weight = 2lb rate.

Weight is always rounded up no matter the carrier, no matter how small. BTW, you can put in the exact amount, you don't have to choose the drop down.

I just use the basic listing tool ebay offers, which is all I really need. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like. Now, the only way I can change the weight is if I go to [ Change dimensions ] ..but even then it only allows for 2 digits or whole ounces, but I had a feeling about having to round it up. Thanks everyone!

The weight increments are always "up to but not over" so even 4.01 ounce should have 5-ounce postage. Though in a case like that most packages could be trimmed in a way to save postage.
Though it may seem nit-picky to you. Remember that postage is our paychecks. Cheating on postage overall resulted in an estimated 600 million dollar loss of revenue last year. Without revenue you can not provide service, you must cut hours which overworks those who are working and we all suffer, workers and customers.
Whether it is a little or a lot everything really does matter in the long run.
I'm all for saving, I will trim flaps, I list lots with an eye to maximizing my postage dollar. You would be amazed what I can fit in a PFRE. And I can pack a troop care package without having a single packing peanut or strip of bubble wrap, AND have it arrive with everything intact and undamaged.

If you're planning on using eBay or PayPal for your FC label purchases, it's the same price for 1-4 oz and for 5-8 oz packages - $2.61 and $2.77 respectively. Unless you rely on combined shipping rules and often have mulitple purchases, it really doesn't matter if you use 8 oz for a 4.8 oz package. It's after 8 ounces that it matters.
9 oz -15.99 oz are priced by each incremental ounce. 9 oz is $3.32 and it goes up in $0.14 increments per ounce.
Media Mail, Priority, Ground all price by pound increments.
