Waiting on a Return .

Howdy All,

I've been a long time Ebay person purchasing here and there but new to selling . I recently sold some stuff without issue , but the last thing I sold the buyer basically wanted a discount (didn't want to send it back) . Granted the item cost was several thousand bucks , at first I was like hell no . I know the item I sent was flawless in terms of working but I know **bleep** happens . So I told them I wasn't discounting the item to send it back this was 3-6-20 and did the Ebay shipping label right then .

Here it is 3-14-20 and no shipping information has been provided showing the item has shipped . I'm pretty sure if you had a defected item aka broke and spent 4k on it , come Monday 3-9-20 that thing would've been long on it's way . What sucks is my money/item are tired up in this transaction , so basically the advice I'm looking for is . Do I contact the buyer again and request tracking info with status of my Item  ? Or do I report this person to Ebay and allow them to deal with it ?

Thanks for any help

Ron

Nope @ronandkim2k3 absolutely do not contact your buyer: The buyer had until midnight Friday, Mar 13 to get your label scanned:

Monday, Mar 9 to Friday, Mar 13 are the five FULL business days.

Instead, call eBay and have the return closed in your favor, your funds released, and feedback blocked/removed if already left.

Re: Waiting on a Return .

There is a window of time (5 days?) for the buyer to print your label and another 5 days is added to show shipping scans back to you. Using today's eBay guidelines, I think you can  escalate to eBay to close the return.

I hope I'm right but welcome a correction, if not. Hold on for other posters...

Good luck!

Re: Waiting on a Return .

I'm with you. The item I sold was only worth about five hundred bucks. It arrived damaged and I think my UK buyer is trying to run out the clock to keep the item AND get a full refund (though he claims he's planning to return it). If eBay allows this theft to happen, I'm done with selling overseas. Just not worth the risk. Hope things turn out in your favor.
