Hello! I recently packaged some shoes, but selected and attached the wrong shipping label. The carrier said I needed a different label to match the packaging so I went in a purchased a new label for it. Now I am trying to void the other label, but it says it is in transit and will only let me void the new label I just created. I have the package with me, but it says it was accepted and in transit. Am I able to void it or because it was possibly scanned can I not void it anymore? I appreciate your help guys! Thanks!

It's OK to use the label even though the dimensions are different. The only times that the dimensions would affect the postage cost are if the package volume is over 1 cubic foot (i.e., 1728 cubic inches) or length over 22 inches.
In this case, since you were using the USPS Priority Mail "shoe" box, we know that the package volume was not over either of those thresholds, so as long as the replacement box isn't, either, you're good to go.

Did the carrier scan the label, if they did, it's considered used and can't be voided

It sounds like you used the wrong label a second time. Once a label is scanned it is considered 'used' and cannot be voided. From how you wrote this, it sounds like the first label was the one you used after all, otherwise how did it get scanned?

If your carrier scanned that first label, then you cannot void it.
One strategy would be for you to void the new label and use the first one: Remove it from the Priority box (or reprint it) and find a non-Priority box to use for those shoes.

Great idea! I don't have the same size of box as what I put the dimensions in for my first label. Could I use another box even if it wasn't the same dimensions as what I entered for the first label? The first label was a USPS parcel ground if that helps. Not sure if with parcel ground it just matters about weight and not size of the package or if that would throw off my label and I'd either have to get a new label or a box with the exact dimensions. Really appreciate your help @ nobody*s_perfect!

Input your dimensions and weight into the shipping calculator and see what you get.
