Voided Shipping Label and Refund

I am new to eBay and selling items. I purchased through buyer payout, two shipping labels and they were incorrect. I voided them within less than 24 hours. I have learned through the community chat that the return can take up to a month or longer. When the refund is processed and finally comes through, does it go directly to my bank account? 

Also, any advice on learning the "in's" and "out's" of shipping would be great. This is all so new to me.

The refund gets applied to your ebay Managed Payments Account; just like a sale. It will then be deposited into your bank 2-10 days later. 

Regarding ins/outs of shipping? The policies and 'what ifs', with 3 entities shipping (USPS, UPS, Fedex) would be a novel. You need to be more specific on what you want to know about shipping? some shipping clues:

1.) Know size and weight of fully packed box for pricing (again- who are you going to use?)

2.) Can ball park packages from your zip to furthest on all 3 carrier websites

3.) Pack items like they are getting thrown off the balcony of a 3 story building

My last cancelled label was credited about 3 1/2 weeks after I submitted the request.  I think the USPS waits at least 2 weeks just to see if you have used the label.

Note that if you print an eBay label and then don't use it, you must void it within 5 days or eBay will just keep the money.
