Unreceived item scam

Hi community, I am having an issue with a scam buyer.

He made the order to a forwarder address (we didn't know it was a forwarder address as we are new to selling on eBay) and when the package was delivered he started an unreceived item case. However, he doesn't respond to the messages since about 2 weeks.

I've contacted eBay and they told me I am under their protection as the tracking says delivered. However, do you guys know when this case will be closed or what will happen next? Customer still did not escalate the issue to eBay, the case is sitting open on my account which is really not nice.

Please let me know what will happen next.

Thank you very much!

Re: Unreceived item scam

On the resolution page will be a link that says "details". Click that and enter the tracking number. As long as you sent it to the address on your eBay screen you are 100% covered. Doesn't matter what they say. If it was shown as delivered

Once you have done that YOU can get it closed.

Re: Unreceived item scam

Hi, on the case page there's "See details" link. When I click on that link one of the options is "Update tracking details" are you talking about this?
Tracking no is already in the system, should I update it here?

Once updated, what to do more? I don't want this case to sit on my account, please let me know what else to do after updating tracking no.

Thank you very much!

Re: Unreceived item scam

The basic rule is that as long as you send it to the address on your eBay screen and you have tracking that shows it delivered you are 100% covered.

What you want to avoid is someone who buys something and then after the fact asks you to change the shipping address. That leaves you wide open with no protection.
