USPS overage charge on priority mail???

Someone please tell me what I did wrong here. A 2 piece clothing set was shipped via priority mail, as selected on the listing. Later I find out that im being charged an additional $8.13 because the shipping on the label didn’t match the service used. Service on label: USPS priority mail package

Service used: USPS priority mail medium flat rate box

Firstly I thought priority mail is priority mail. When selecting a shipping service on ebay you don’t have the option to select “priority mail flat rate medium box” its just “priority mail.” I’m so confused someone please help.

I don't get a discount on shipping.

I do buy USA stamps face value around 30-50% off from eBay USA sellers and use them for regular postage for something that needs tracking. It's not unusual for me to use 20+ stamps to put on a package and hand deliver it to a clerk. That's how I save on shipping.

Ok I have to ask,

How do you know how many stamps you need on a package?

OK, to avoid confusion.

FYI

To respond "in general" to a thread click down there at the bottom where it says............ "Start typing to reply to this topic"...................rather than clicking on "reply" in the post you just read.

Re: USPS overage charge on priority mail???

I bring my stamps in and give them to the clerks at the post office and say put as many on as possible.

If I buy face value stamps at like 40-50 of face value from eBay USA sellers...I guess I save some money.

Plus I have tracking that shows vs. ESE envelopes.IMG_1101.JPGIMG_1102.JPGIMG_1103.JPGIMG_1104.JPG

You can use Priority Mail boxes with eBay postage labels.  You just have to purchase the correct postage rate -- flat rate for the special flat rate boxes, and regular Priority for the other Priority Mail boxes and for plain boxes like re-used Amazon boxes.

So what would be the cost of using this with an eBay shipping label?

And can a seller ship it by just dropping off?

I was also asked a question on what I use by the seller...so I should just sit it out?

$15.19 for the same MFRB through ebay.

It can be dropped off, scanned as accepted or you can have the QR code scanned at the p.o. and they print the label.
