USPS is the only negative on ebay

USPS is so slow, I could have ridden my bike faster to get my order.  I have 3 items ordered over 7 days ago & still no sign of the orders.   When I stop considering eBay as a value, I will stop & delete my ebay account.  

Wish, sellers would offer an alternative such as UPS, Fedex, etc.    Assume problem is the cost but that is short sited cause I will stop using ebay

Ask the sellers to ship via your preferred method. Be prepared to pay 2-10 times more and get the same service. Your items have tracking, most likely. Sometimes you have to make an effort in life. Just say'in.

I just posted something about USPS here on this platform. It cost me $14.25 getting a written signature to confirm delivery. I mailed it today in free USPS box and delivery is Thursday.

All you should be worrying about is the estimated delivery date.

What date is USPS showing for the acceptance scans on those items?

It really depends on the weight of the package.  Realize that USPS is  the only option for sending an item wieghing 16 oz or less via Ground Advantage (formerly known as First Class Mail).  Many buyers are not going to pay UPS, Fed Ex rates for a small item weighing less than a pound.  Also remember eBay tacks on a percentage to that shipping cost ( and sales tax).   Also did you check the seller's handling time?  Did they ship immediatley after purchase?  Somesellers have extended handling times which can add days before that package is actually shipped out.

What were the handling times for the items? Assuming that they were not shipped out on the same day, 7 days for handling + shipping is completely reasonable. UPS or FedEx will not be any faster unless you pay for an express service.

Statistically speaking, my USPS packages make it to their destinations extremely quickly. Faster than I expect.

Also, 7 days ago? I have buyers who ordered Friday and I haven't shipped yet. I ship Friday orders on Mondays (next business day), today I got caught up so had to push it to Tuesday which is rare for me. That's 4 calendar days before it's actually shipped, only 2 business days. So you'd be expecting 3 day USPS delivery after that?

Right? I have a FedEx package that was shipped from CA on Friday. It's still on its way over here to the East Coast.

Not only is USPS completely independent of and has nothing to do with EBay, other than it's a 3rd party carrier used by many EBay sellers, but I bet 99.9999999% of the people on the forum can find MANY "negatives" on ebay...

Sorry that this isn't Amazon with it's own national/global logistical operation... EBay struggles with simple technological issues, they couldn't master what Amazon mastered...

You do know that USPS is not a part of eBay, but is a whole separate entity, right?

So you would stop using eBay because of the lack of speed of USPS?

And did you know that, when you buy, BEFORE you commit to purchase, you can request that the seller use faster shipping, but be aware that it will probably cost more?
