USPS Shipping Labels are NOT Formatting Properly

eBay... I tried to print 1st Class labels this morning. Just 2 at a time on a single page on a standard label sheet, 8.5" x 11"... The labels are so small and so far to the left that the 2nd label cut off almost 1" and part of my return address.  This is really not acceptable. To add issue, when you do a "label reprint" it prints sideways!

Come on man..??!!

OK... I feel like a dope... I was so fixated on this that I checked some print settings when it moves into the print mode and found somebody...(Kids at Home) changed one of the settings... All is well, issue resolved. Please carry on!

@grizz.bear,

Are you printing from ebay's new addressing system? Or through another services?  Using the new or old ebay system I have never been able to print two labels per 8.5 x 11 page, because of the label record info is part of the print out and I save those.  It helped me once when an unauthorized card purchase claim was filed.

The new system allows printing from a PDF download or directly there is also an option to use the older system just above the paid amount your discount etc. box. I noticed a change last year where my labels were huge with the top of the labels being cut off, and I had to reformat my printer.

The PDF down load allows for resizing before printing but you may have to use the custom size option rather then the presets.

Some of your issues may be with the printer itself, if someone reformatted it to print other things. If you get a Settings page from your printer  that gives Printer type model #, Number of copies, Page size, etc.  There could be buttons taking you to Advanced features/settings. You can check those to see if anyone re-formatted any of the options (paper size?) and defaulted them. Because of the sideways re-print, the original labels and Label record  print with the label sideways (horizontally) and the record vertically on my printer. The format setting for that is Portrait (a vertical page) Landscape prints a horiziontal page).  The info sent from the original try may over ride the setting, but the reprint does not.

If your printer is newer, a Mfr. update could have reset the settings you usually use.

Sometimes Browser updates cause changes as well.

I suggest using the Print Preview option which previews anything you want to print and allows you to cancel printing if things do not look right.

On your browsers landing/home page is there an icon for your printer. Mine's an HP and my home page there is a (HP solution center icon) It has more settings options than the pop up info page.

I can't think of any other things to check. I hope one of the suggestions helps.

@grizz.bear,

It took me awhile to get info and post, so I did not see that you figured it out.  I'm glad you found what was wrong.  Your resolution is one of the things I suggested.
