Is anyone having problems lately with items shipped by USPS arriving broken? I am a good packer but I've had to issue 2 refunds because of fragile items arriving at destination in pieces. Is USPS drop kicking my packages? Maybe I've lost my packing skills?

I guess that all comes down to how good of a packer you really are. You should pack as if you expect it to be drop kiced.

Track and focus on the percentages. Damage will happen. Even the best order packers have issues from time to time. It is part of this biz. If you see a sudden and dramatic spike in the % of packages damaged, focus on your process first, then once troubleshot, talk to a USPS rep about their processes and how you can work with them, rather than against them. If you have more broken items, but your sales volume has also gone up, the % will track with the organic package volume. etc etc.

Hi! When an item is damaged in transit, it may not be just a carrier issue, but likely a packing issue as well. Since you have two in a row, i would review my procedures. Are you double boxing?

I'm a mail carrier, we don't have time to abuse your packages. We don't have time to coddle them either.
I have been on eBay since 2004 and have shipped hundreds of packages. Have I had packages show up damaged, yes. Have I had items I shipped damaged, NO, not a single one.
Have I recieved damaged items, a few. Mainly via FedEx but not because of packing though one item comes to mind and he SWORE he packed very well. A heavy Plexiglas parrot feeder. It had one single piece of bubble wrap around it, on the sides but nothing on top or bottom in a box that that was all that would fit. It took 3 trys before I simply tossed up my hands and asked for some of the glue that they used to make the item so I could repair one enough to use.
I also had damaged packages, one each from USPS and UPS. Both were very poorly packed.
I pack like the package will be left out in the rain, it happens. I pack for a drop of at least 6 feet and for a couple hundred pounds to land on it because if my package is first into a cart that is what will happen.
