USPS Priority Flat Rate Padded Envelopes

Does anyone know if USPS Priority Flat Rate Padded Envelopes have been discontinued?
I just tried to list an item that usually I would choose that shipping option and it is

missing. Does anyone know? Tried to google but no answers. And if it is discontinued,

what happens to all my previous listings where I chose that for shipping??

They have not been discontinued; you can still order them online through usps.com, and the rates for them still appear in the current USPS pricing manual.

http://pe.usps.com/cpim/ftp/manuals/dmm300/notice123.pdf

So if you aren't seeing them when you set up an eBay listing, that's some sort of glitch.  Try entering package dimensions of  12x9x1 inches.

Another idiotic idea brought to you by eBay.  Why they make it harder for their sellers to sell something is beyond me.  eBay, show ALL shipping options, so a seller can ship something at the best rate, saving the buyer some $$$$.  Oh wait, that's right.  You charge your fee on shipping.  The more the buyer pays, the more eBay takes!  Well, except buyers don't buy and eBay gets nothing.

Ok, I am done with my rant!

Just a note about the padded envelope, with recent USPS rate changes you can now usually ship items that fit in the padded FR (and regular FR envelope) cheaper using Ground Advantage Cubic which is available on Pirate Ship, if cost is the primary concern. (You can also use Pirate Ship or similar services when eBay glitches and won't let you use the FR envelope etc.)

In the future, if you can't get the specific flat rate service to show up when creating a listing...

You can just list the item with "Priority Mail" Shipping. If you are offering free shipping, doesn't matter at all. If you are charging shipping, then just apply a flat cost of (whatever the cost of the flat rate shipping is).

Hope that helps.

That does not solve the issue.  When you go to purchase your label, the padded option does not show there either.  I switch over to PirateShip as that is run by USPS and padded is still offered there.   Just did this a few minutes ago.  !!  Love those friendly Pirates, if you have not tried it, easy to navigate, very quick response to questions.

Actually it does solve the issye, it solves the issue that was originally asked and answered. (OP asked about listing w/ the specific shipping service).

You raised a completely separate issue. Your issue is when you go to purchase a label.
