USPS Parcel Select Ground Missing From Label Printing Options

Buyer selected Parcel Select Ground in checkout but the option "as buyer selected" shows Media Mail instead. That option is no where in the list currently when printing a label. I do see at the top that it states "Some international delivery services are no longer available due to COVID-19." but this is a domestic service (to my knowledge) and am shipping domestically. Is this just a glitch or part of that statement? I did email ebay but due to low staff my response may be severly delayed and I need to act asap to update my listings before I lose money on shipping fees.

Just a couple of notes. This option "Parcel Select Ground" can still be selected when listing an item. I did not see anywhere in any ebay announcement mentioning a temporary removal of "Parcel Select Ground". It has been like this all day today 3/25.

Sorry I don't have a solution to eBay's glitch.  But you can purchase labels for Media Mail (for eligible items) and for Parcel Select Ground through PayPal at

I'm having the same issue.  It seems that for now, Parcel Select Ground is not an option.  The only economy option that still seems to be available to print through eBay is Media Mail (which doesn't help).   I've seen several posts about this now, hopefully they will fix it soon.

It does seem to be the "glitch du jour." You can purchase Parcel Select postage through PayPal at

Or consider using Priority Mail.  For packages under 10 pounds, the prices are almost the same.  You can easily compare prices using eBay's postage calculator. Be sure to check off to show the online ("eBay") rate, since it defaults to show the retail ("in store") price for Priority.

I had this problem on a package mailed this week that showed buyer selected small priority flat rate when package was a media rate package.

Tried to figure out what the problem is. Yes, I agree that is a programing glitch but if you select custom package size instead of what is showing up as default the options will show up, or at least did for me.

I did get a pretty quick response from help and they did confirm that there was some sort of problem. Not sure when they will fix it though. Still shows media mail instead for Parcel Select for me still. I will just have to use paypal for the time being.

It seems to me I saw a notice not too long ago, on a USPS notice, that the Parcel Select Ground service is no longer offered.  This is maybe why it's not coming up on shipping options anymore. 

Media is still available, and they will inspect contents sometimes.

You have 1st class to 1 lb. 

After that it's Priority only.

You must have misread it.  Parcel Select Ground is still available.  For instance, you can purchase a label for it through other online postage providers such as PayPal; it still appears in USPS pricing charts; and here's a description of the service:

The same thing is also happening to me regarding the 'disappearance' of the Parcel Select service and the new platform is confusing to learn. For example, now there is no 'UPDATE' word click-on so sellers now need to first make sure that the weight & dimensions are correct and then scroll down to the desired USPS (or other) service (click on 'Compare All Services' if needed) and click on the left-side dot. Because there is a 'No Parcel Select' glitch I am going to use the Priority Mail service because for the package that I am shipping (15x10x6 @ 6lbs) it is only .21 cents more. If a shipping box gets much larger and heavier than that then the postage fee would usually be much more higher depending on the USPS zone. As the others have said the Paypal postage-label system still works fine for shipping Parcel Select packages. Mark

Thank you guys. It took me a while (a few shipments to realize that "economy" options where missing. I also thought it was a problem on the ebay system and I just confirmed that. Also Paypal works fine for now as some of you mentioned. The interface does look like they've been messing with it, the font looks different and now you don't have the "update" bottom ( you either press enter or click out) Anyways, thank you again and I hope ebay can fix this
PS I lost some money paying for upgraded services 😞
