USPS Padded Flat Rate Envelope Option Not Available?

Im unable to select the padded flat rate option, ive tried different dimensions to try to trigger it but nothing is working, any advice?

I seen one of your responses about putting 'dimensions' that are smaller (for a small flat rate box for instance) of 8x5x1 instead of 8-11/16 etc...but but but!! 

Flat Rate Packing does require ANY dimensions- you don't even input them when trying to print- you click 'Carrier Packaging" the dimensions disappear. 

What am I missing in all of this??

Exactly what I asked in my last post.

"If there's a reason why this is seen as a necessary change - some kind of problem it's fixing, then that should be communicated along with the steps required to make flat rate options appear on the listing form. Otherwise, well you can see the results for yourself. Sellers are understandably frustrated."

Guess I'm still not getting it. I can see Small Flat Rate, Bubble, heck- all kinds of 'options' in the 'my package' , but when I click 'Carrier Packing' there is NO place to put a dimension and I can still choose every type possible? I have an item that I have input 2 lbs with 15x8x6 size (for a USPS Priority Shoe Box)- but I can STILL choose 'Carrier Packaging' and then a small box, envelope, padded envelope, md flat, lg flat etc. and the 'dimensions' are gone...so I'm still confused of the fuss??

I figured out if you are on desktop and go to domestic shipping click add Service and type in the Find a Shipping Service search bar “USPS” it will appear with all the flat rate options. I don’t know what’s with the dimensions on the flat rates I ship most of my clothes in them and they pretty much all exceed 1” in thickness. I hope i don’t get charged back now but I’ve never had a problem before with eBay or post office.

you need to tell the research team that all this is doing is costing eBay and members time and money. its a padded envelope i put a 8x4x4 box inside and it fits perfect and need to change the dimensions to sizes that are not accurate. should be able to put any size and it auto i put the size on your side cause sometimes we ship other ways and add other shipping options like parcel post. obviously we are not going to use a priority mail envelope as it breaks USPS Rules.  Also out of all the flat rate boxes the padded and envelope  is going to have different dimensions. please fix.

I lost my USPS flat rate padded envelope option but got it back after I put in 12x9x1 in that exact order.  Thanks for the help here otherwise I would've never known how to fix this.

Unfortunately it's also now missing on all current active listings! I have hundreds of listings and I've gone in and pulled some random listings (jeans or shoes) that would be PFRE and all of those active listings are now missing their shipping cost.

I am currently having the same problem. 90% of my items work best for me when using USPS padded envelopes. That flat rate is no longer an option for me to use. After 2 hours on the telephone with eBay, they said that they discontinued that option. I don't know if I believe that. I found no news about this from any announcement officially made by them.

Are you still having the same problem with as me?

I understand a CS rep's need to get a customer off the phone after 2 hours (!), but discontinued?! Obviously that's not true. Please have call reviewed kyle@ebay in case that rep needs coaching.

As for your problem @markgalea1 , this should be easily solved by making sure your package dimensions do not exceed the padded flat rate envelope dimensions. If that does not solve it, start a new thread with a screenshot. Old threads tend to be locked due to outdated info.

When package dimensions entered on the listing form exceed eBay's programmed dimensions, eBay will not show you those shipping options when setting up your listing. To access these services, enter the following package dimensions:

• USPS Priority Flat Rate Envelopes: 12x9x1
• USPS Priority Small Flat Rate Box: 8x5x1
• USPS Priority Med Flat Rate Box: 14x12x3 or 11x8x6
• USPS Priority Large Flat Rate Box: 12x12x6
• eBay Standard Envelope: max weight 3 oz / dim 11x6x1 (actual thickness of physical envelope cannot exceed 1/4" and it must be flexible)
• USPS First Class Letter (untracked): max weight 3.5 oz / dim 11.5x6x0.25 (if not flexible, it will be subject to a non-machinable surcharge)
• USPS First Class Large Envelope/Flat (untracked): max weight 13oz / dim 15x12x0.75 (must be flexible & of uniform thickness)
