USPS Completely Stalled Causing Major Problems, EBAY Allowing Customers Open Cases Due To USPS

I have packages that are backed almost two weeks going out to buyers, now EBAY is allowing them to open cases knowing that the US Postal Service is completely broken right now!

I also have packages that I have been personally been waiting on for almost a month (product)!

This is to much! I am considering stopping sales until this is worked out, or completely dropping the US Postal Service, COMPLETELY! I am paying to much for shipping to begin with, now I am looking at customers possibly putting holds on funds because of this and possibly filing for refunds, then I'm out the product cost and the shipping cost, NO WAY MAN! NO WAY!

Yeah it’s a sad situation. I have numerous items out there sent priority mail floating around  with no tracking info and the customers upset. I fed up and just shut down all three of my stores til this get better. I’m losing either way but I have peace of mind. Hopefully things get back to normal after Christmas.

I guess we can take comfort in the fact that they're not mailing out the vaccines.

Clearly you aren't selling or you would see how impractical this suggestion is to use Fedex or UPS for small parcels.   The shipping delays that are occurring  right now has never happened in the past 20 years.  Especially for lightweight packages under one pound.  You can't ship small items through Fedex without a huge increase in shipping.  For example, the item I sold yesterday was 3 ounces and with USPS First Class mail was $3.18 to ship.  Keeping in mind the time frame advertised in the listing to ship by Fedex is $11.89 and with UPS is $15.74.  No buyer would want to pay an increase of 4-5 times USPS price.  You can't go through your listings and hold sales on only your light weight items.

my advice to anyone to using USPS is to discontinue using them indefinitely until they get their **bleep** together. Local facility here in Detroit is backed up and probably will be for weeks. https://www.wxyz.com/news/local-news/investigations/it-has-mail-from-wall-to-wall-packages-stuck-in-...

obviously ebay isn't going to step in to help sellers so unfortunately the only thing you can do is to stop using USPS for the foreseeable future. It sucks because the cost of using UPS or fedex compared to using the post office often makes it not even worth bothering selling

that's because the important people in charge know how screwed up the post office is. There is no excuse for the delays we have seen considering the post office is really the only shipping service seeing these extreme delays right now. Incompetence at it's ugliest

I think that EBay should suspend all INR cases that were shipped USPS until they get their act together. eBay is letting their sellers take the blame  and the financial hit fir something that is not in their control. If they knew the postal service was going to implode they should have taken that option off when purchasing labels. I blame USPS for their lack of planning and eBay for once again putting sellers out to dry!

I put my store on vacay... I'm worried about enough of my sales already, I don't need more aggrivation.

I too am waiting on things I ordered weeks ago. 

We are all in the same boat.  I pleaded this case in another post, but just want to appeal to other sellers again...

Sellers who have also bought things, PLEASE do not file cases against other sellers.  You know as a seller what you are going through waiting for things and complaints from buyers... Let's not do that to each other.  If the item shows it was shipped, let's all be patient and understanding with each other.

eBay does nothing to support us... Let's have each other's backs and not do to each other what we don't want done to us.  I'm worried about things I've sold... I'm also waiting for things I bought.  I'm not going to file against a fellow seller that I can see shipped my item.

Let's stick together on this, and hopefully, demand a change in policy from eBay. 😄

It’s alarming how FedEx keeps pulling then applying their discount on 2-day just randomly.

I've got two from the 10th that are still in transit, but I've noticed that the stuff I've mailed in the past week has been moving right along for the most part, so it appears things are starting to get better.

It looks like it was packages that were shipped the first 2 weeks of this month, that have gotten back logged at the large shipping hubs. My packages I have shipped since are arriving within 4 to 7 days.  I was tracking 22 packages from that time frame and cleared 13 of those today. Still have 9 scheduled for guaranteed delivery tomorrow per the Post Office.

I have had to open claim researches on every package from those 2 weeks.

I am in Oregon, I use USPS PM and First Class package, items all over the country I have sent and all got there as they should have in the time that was originally stated.

Same for my eBay purchases all got here ok and on time

What is absolutely HILARIOUS is that eBay was trying to promote sellers to use FedEx or UPS to ship their items, offering a 20% discount to MP users.... yeah ok, like they aren't also overloaded? How much were they paid by FedEx and UPS to offer that deal?  

Still wondering why with the PEAK holiday season there are ZERO ads on TV for eBay.  Amazon, PoshMark, Etsy...see those ads every single day several times...no ads from eBay since what, the summer?

Where exactly are our seller fees going?  Just into a corporate pocket, nothing towards advertising.

Yes, it's the same for me. I've got those two from the 10th, but then of the 12 that I've shipped from the 15th on, 3 have been delivered already and 3 more are on track to be delivered in the next couple of days.
