You could try reaching out to the shipping provider and see if they can tell you what the problem is with your shipment.  I have had to do this a couple times over the years, even on packages I sent to a buyer.  I have had one that was never marked delivered, despite the buyer getting the item.  And I have had others that just took longer to show up then they were supposed to.

Sometimes they can tell you where it is, sometimes they have no clue either.  Shipping can be a mess at times.

Not to mention if the label gets damaged or something and the package gets lost.  Those would be the worst case scenario.

If your the seller, call the shipper.  If it's USPS they have a toll free number on their web site and they are very good about getting packages unstuck.

If your the buyer, you can file an item not received case one day past the last given delivery date.

Don't Ship  USPS Ground Advantage  , It is garbage service   .       OP go to your the PO  and ask them to run your tracking in the internal tracking system  .also ask for the postmaster  . Make sure to ask for the  district  office phone number , they are in charge of all    PO's in your  neck of the woods .

There is nothing wrong with Ground Advantage as a service.

There are problems in some USPS sorting centers, Not clear if it is worker reaction to having to work harder or a shortage of labor.

It is clear that certain centers are really awful and others get their work done, accurately and on time.

Missent may be a routing error, and could be a postal employee who put the package in a wrong bin, or another employee who failed to update sorting software. Most large organizations are poor in exception handling. This can be complicated by the lack of alternative routes between sorting centers. A misrouted package may need to retrace its steps before it can get to the proper route to its destination. This can be a direct result of cost savings to reduce USPS losses.

There is nothing wrong with USPS Ground Advantage.  99.9% of my shipments use it, and nearly all of them arrive on time and many arrive ahead of time with only a few being a day or two late.

I have never had a lost shipment, but I have had a couple with tracking delays or errors.  That can happen with any carrier.  The problem people are running into are those in specific areas near certain hubs when the hubs get backed up, such as the one in Texas a month ago, and more recently Atlanta.  But they eventually get resolved.

Now when it comes to larger items/heavier items, I will use UPS Ground instead, mostly for cost advantage.  The one you want to avoid for the time being is FedEx.  Till they get this overcharging non-sense fixed, avoid them like the plague.

Generally @hatman20 the carrier will eventually get the package on the right track. My packages say 'missent' all the time and so far all were eventually delivered. The majority turn around with a 3-5 day delay from original estimated delivery. Worst one took two months, if memory serves.

Just few days ago a Priority package was delivered to my buyer. USPS originally sent it to the wrong city, gave it a 'missent' scan, and it traveled between 8 different cities before getting to my buyer. Added about a week, week and a half to delivery, but it got there.

If the package goes a week without a tracking scan, I suggest filling an inquiry with the carrier.

Walk without rhythm, it won't attract the worm.

As a seller in so cal, usps GA is probably the most reliable standard service for me.

UPS constant delays (due to operating conditions).

So I will disagree.

I'm not surprised    ,  USPS  reliance on sorting  automation machines  is a failure  . when they still need employee's to double   to make sure the container's have the right  parcels in them .
